Schizoid About Us

Torpex Games is a game development studio in Bellevue, Washington. Our first game, Schizoid, was released on Wednesday, July 9, on Xbox Live Arcade.

President: Bill Dugan

Bill started in video games in 1986 as a scripter on the acclaimed RPG "Wasteland", developed by Interplay Productions and published by Electronic Arts. He has also worked at Wizards of the Coast, Sierra Entertainment, and Activision's Treyarch studio, as the executive producer on games like "Magic: the Gathering Online" for PC, "Half-Life" for PlayStation 2, and "Spider-Man 2" for PS2, GameCube, and XBox.

Technical Director: Jamie Fristrom

Jamie was a technical director and designer on "Spider-Man 2", his biggest claim to fame being that he invented its dynamic, physical swinging system. Other games he’s worked on include "Spider-Man 1" for PS2, XBox, and GameCube; "Tony Hawk" for the Dreamcast; "Die by the Sword" for the PC; and the "Magic Candle" series of RPGs. Jamie wrote the "Manager in a Strange Land" column for Gamasutra, spent some time as a consultant on engineering and management, and writes one of the most popular blogs on game development – www.gamedevblog.com.
